Blue Hour Notify ("the app") is developed by Kyanochronos. This policy describes how the app handles your data.

Location Data

The app uses your device's location to calculate blue hour (twilight) times for your area. Location data is:

Processed on your device to compute sunrise, sunset, and blue hour times
Stored locally on your device if you save a location
Sent to Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) when you search for a location by name
Sent to TimeAPI.io to determine the timezone for locations in multi-timezone countries
Never sold or shared with third parties beyond the services listed above

Advertising (Play Store version)

The version distributed via Google Play Store uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect:

Advertising ID
Device information
Approximate location (for ad relevance)

This data is handled according to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's settings under Google > Ads.

The F-Droid version of the app does not include any advertising or tracking.

Data Storage

All app settings and saved locations are stored locally on your device using Android's DataStore. No account or registration is required. No data is stored on external servers.

Notifications

The app schedules local notifications to alert you before blue hour. Notification scheduling happens entirely on your device. No push notification service or external server is involved.
